Professional Biography

For 30 years, Barbara A. Kennedy has handled a broad spectrum of real estate transactions, primarily in Texas, representing real estate owners, developers, investors, lenders and borrowers.  From initial documentation to closing, Ms. Kennedy has negotiated and drafted real estate contracts and  for acquisitions and sales of raw land and improved property, including office buildings, retail centers, apartment complexes, senior living facilities, industrial properties and other income producing properties  Representing both landlord and tenant clients, she has negotiated and drafted commercial leases, including office building leases, data center leases, shopping center and mall leases, industrial and office/warehouse leases.  

Ms. Kennedy has handled acquisition, construction and development loans, secured transactions, loan workouts, restructures and foreclosures.  In addition to real estate, she has represented clients in various other transactions including entity organization, the purchase and sale of business assets, contracts relating to businesses and other matters incidental to business operations.  Ms. Kennedy is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.   She is licensed in Texas, having graduated from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law.   Her professional memberships include Dallas Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Commercial Real Estate Women, The Real Estate Council and Altrusa International, Inc. of Downtown Dallas.
