Professional Biography
Julia Dobbins has extensive experience handling insurance matters, concentrating her practice on writing coverage opinions for insurance carriers and representing carriers in declaratory judgment actions and first party bad faith litigation in both state and federal court. Ms. Dobbins clerked for the Honorable Phil Peden, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Southern District of Texas as well as the Honorable John R. Blinn, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge, also for the Southern District of Texas. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. Districts Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Ms. Dobbins is licensed in Texas, having graduated from University of Houston Law Center. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Tort and Insurance Practice Section, State Bar of Texas (Insurance and Consumer Law Sections) and a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow.
