Mark Hatten

Professional Biography

Mark Hatten represents some of the largest sports and entertainment venues in Texas with all aspects of risk management, contracts, dispute resolution and litigation.  He has analyzed, defended and resolved contract litigation of all types, race car driving school accident lawsuits, roller coaster accident lawsuits, golf cart accident lawsuits, multi-million dollar personal injury lawsuits and premises liability litigation of all types.  Mr. Hatten assists clients with drafting and enforcing pre-injury releases, non-compete agreements, suite licensing agreements, sponsorship and facility licensing agreements – as well as analyzing, drafting and enforcing indemnity and insuring agreements.  He assists several large local religious organizations with defending and reaching resolution in high profile sexual abuse cases.  Mr. Hatten’s clients include the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas Motor Speedway and Speedway Motorsports.  References available upon request.

Mr. Hatten has been in practice nearly 20 years.  His insurance background is extensive, having worked in house for several insurance carriers in personal, commercial, excess and reinsurance lines.  He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.  Mr. Hatten is licensed in Texas, having graduated from Creighton University School of Law.  He is a member of the American Bar Association, Defense Research Institute, Tarrant County Bar Association, Texas Association of Defense Counsel and the State Bar of Texas.

Mark Hatten

Personal Biography

Mark is an avid sailor, participating in both off-shore ocean cruising and inland/coastal racing.  He has raced in two world championships, has sailed the Caribbean ocean extensively, and races regularly with his team on a 10.5 meter single design class boat.

Mark lives with his two children on Eagle Mountain Lake and can be found weekends in a kayak, on a wakeboard, in a sailboat or at the redneck yacht club.
