Patrick Richter

Professional Biography

Patrick S. Richter focuses his practice on labor and employment law and related litigation, and is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Richter’s employment litigation experience includes jury and non-jury trials and arbitrations of discrimination, wage and hour, contract, stock option, non-compete, trade secret, tort, and retaliation cases. In addition, He has significant experience with matters before the NLRB and assisting clients with union campaigns and avoidance.  Mr. Richter also handles a variety of intellectual property matters, including litigation and arbitration relating to trade secrets, copyrights, trademarks, and patents. He is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the Federal Circuit. Mr. Richter is licensed in Texas, having graduated from University of Houston Law Center. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Austin Bar Association, Federal Bar Association and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.

Personal Biography

When not practicing law, Patrick is a devoted volunteer in and around the Austin community.  He is a member of the Society for American Baseball Research, and the Capital City A&M Club, and he serves as a volunteer baseball coach and an Assistant Cubmaster with responsibility for the Pinewood Derby.
