Attorney Bio

As a trial attorney and amateur race car driver, Lisa Vaughn understands the importance of being aggressive, of making the right decisions under pressure, and of always finishing first. This level of dedication and pursuit of success on her clients’ behalf has earned her a reputation as an expert in oil and gas litigation, as well as in a broad variety of other commercial matters. Vaughn has also leveraged her trial experience into “litigation mitigation” for her clients, in which she drafts their agreements, contracts and procedures to reduce the risk of lawsuits before they happen, saving clients valuable time and money.

Vaughn’s expertise has made her a popular authority on trial advocacy techniques around the country for more than a decade. She received her J.D. with honors from The Ohio State University College of Law in 1991, where she was managing editor of The Ohio State Law Journal, was named the “Best Oral Advocate” by Supreme Justice Antonin Scalia, and won a variety of other scholastic and achievement awards.
