Monika Cooper Named  as Chairperson to the State of Texas District 7 Grievance Committee

Ms. Cooper was elected by her peers who serve on the four panels of District 7.  As Chairperson, she will  work in conjunction with the North Texas office of the Chief Disciplinary Counsel in assigning evidentiary hearings to the four panels of District 7.  Ms. Cooper will also appoint panel chairpersons, hear arguments and make findings on recusal motions as well as appoint members to serve should a panel become short the required member participants. 

In addition to being appointed the Chairperson of District 7 Grievance Committee, she also became the Chairperson of Panel 3.  In that role, Ms. Cooper will lead the panel in evidentiary hearings and summary disposition panels and, when necessary, make evidentiary rulings.
