FORT WORTH – October 17, 2008 – Patrick Maher, a partner with Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller, L.L.P., in Fort Worth has been elected Chair of the State Bar of Texas Labor & Employment Law Section for 2008-2009.
The Labor and Employment Law Section is a voluntary organization within the State Bar of Texas with approximately 3,000 licensed attorneys throughout the state who practice labor and employment law. Section members represent a wide variety of clients including employers, employees and labor organizations, in both the private and public sectors.
Mr. Maher is a University of Texas Law School graduate and was the founding Chair of the Tarrant County Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section. Mr. Maher is recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly Magazine and included in The Best Lawyers in America. He is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Mr. Maher is involved with the American Red Cross, where he has served on the board of directors for the local chapter, and served on the Board of Trustees for the University of Dallas.
