Richard A. Lowe Elected Managing Partner of Shannon Gracey
Experienced Attorney to Lead Respected Firm

December 15, 2008 – FORT WORTH, TEXAS – Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller, LLP, is pleased to announce the election of Richard A. Lowe as Managing Partner. Lowe joined Shannon, Gracey, Ratliff & Miller, LLP in 1999. He has served on its executive committee for seven years and was head of the firm’s business section for eight years. Lowe assumes the duties of Managing Partner from Phillip McCrury. Lowe will be leading the firm’s executive committee, managing the firm’s multiple offices in Arlington, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston.

Lowe has substantial experience in corporate and securities law, including mergers and acquisitions, public and private company finance, venture capital, start-up companies, health organizations, and general business consulting. Licensed in both Texas and California, Lowe graduated with honors in 1978 from California State University, Fullerton, and from the University of California, Davis, School of Law in 1982.
Lowe was named a Texas "Super Lawyer" for acquisitions and mergers by Texas Monthly magazine and a "Best Lawyer" for acquisitions and mergers by Fort Worth Magazine. His professional memberships include the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of California, State Bar of Texas Business and Health Law Sections, the American Bar Association Business and Health Law Sections, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Tarrant County Bar Association. Lowe also has been a longtime participant in community and charitable activities, including currently serving on the Executive Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Texas.
