Members of the Banking & Financial Institutions Group counsel commercial banks, bank holding companies, other financial institutions and investors on a full spectrum of activities including lending; leveraged and acquisition finance; asset, project and real estate finance; insolvency and restructuring; and structured finance.  We represent senior lenders, subordinated lenders, equity investors, developers, contractors, individuals and service providers.  Our attorneys effectively counsel banking clients on loan documentation, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance and restructuring as well as charter new institutions.

  • Corporate, Mergers & Acquisitions, Securities - We assist our clients with a variety of financing transactions including operational and regulatory matters, senior and subordinated loans, asset-based loans, mezzanine financing, regulatory compliance, letters of credit, acquisition financing and other lines of credit. 

  • Estate Planning, Probate & Trusts – Our financial institution clients seek our counsel for estate planning, probate matters and trust work.

  • Litigation / Alternative Dispute Resolution / Appellate - The Banking & Financial Institution Group helps clients work to solve legal problems through early dispute resolution, and, if necessary through litigation and the entirety of the appeal process.  We have vast experience addressing a variety of commercial and special banking law issues, including those arising out of financially troubled companies and banking litigation in state and federal courts.  In addition, our attorneys provide ongoing counseling and litigation services to credit providers on federal consumer lending laws regarding disclosure requirements, credit reporting, bankruptcy collection and distressed or non-performing loans.
