The Land Use Group at Shannon Gracey
The Land Use Group at Shannon Gracey has experience representing clients in private property transactions including the acquisition, development and sale of both residential and commercial properties, planning and zoning, and environmental matters. Our attorneys represent both public and private sector clients including landowners, developers, financial institutions, local and municipal governments and many other Texas political subdivisions.
A Comprehensive Approach
As governmental regulations change, so does the need for clients to seek legal counsel to achieve their objectives in the areas of commercial and residential development, land use, planning and zoning.
- Construction - Our services to the private sector include strategic planning, appearing before governmental and quasi-governmental bodies and obtaining land use and real estate development approvals.
- Environmental Law– Our attorneys have substantial experience in state and federal environmental regulations. We counsel clients in compliance matters such as the handling of chemicals, the disposal of hazardous waste and the contamination of ground water.
- Government & Municipal Law - We provide legal counsel to numerous North Texas governmental entities and political subdivisions on matters such as eminent domain, public contracting, administration of federal/state grant programs and public finance. We also assist clients with issues involving the Civil Service Commission.
- Real Estate – We assist in negotiating agreements for, and structuring the financing of, commercial and residential development projects, infrastructure and public/private partnerships.
- Litigation / Toxic Tort - Our track record demonstrates a proven ability to work with and realize the expectations of our public and private clients. The attorneys in our Land Use Group help guide clients through the maze of regulations, permitting, approvals and environmental enforcement matters required to start a new development project or properly manage an existing one. We have litigated a wide range of cases involving eminent domain, due process, public contract disputes and administrative matters.
