Our environmental practice covers a wide range of environmental matters, including permitting, compliance counseling, air emissions, water discharges, solid, hazardous and medical wastes, asbestos, mold, oil and gas wastes, audits, storm water, endangered species, wetlands, disclosure, including environmental disclosure statements for Securities and Exchange Commission documents, reporting, underground and aboveground tanks, remediation and assessment, and counseling clients appearing before federal, state and local agencies.
Our environmental section also has significant experience in performing due diligence in association with real estate and corporate transactions, including multi-million dollar acquisitions of solid waste companies and paper companies, and can provide assistance in engaging and coordinating with consultants, reviewing and drafting relevant transaction documents, and assisting clients with related risk management issues through various mechanisms such as insurance or regulatory programs. In addition, we have experience in drafting environmental compliance policies.
We can also assist in workplace health and safety issues including OSHA compliance, working with the employment section. The section also works with the litigation section to assist in toxic tort litigation, discussed more in "Litigation."
